Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our residential communities. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive living experience for residents by assisting with leasing, resident relations, office administration, and maintenance coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in customer service who is eager to grow in the affordable housing/property management field. Prior experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors.

  • Respond promptly to calls, emails, walk-ins, and resident concerns with professionalism and care.

  • Organize and maintain office files, resident records, and compliance documentation.

  • Assist with processing rental applications and supporting leasing efforts.

  • Manage maintenance work orders and coordinate follow-ups with the facilities team.

  • Draft and distribute resident notices, newsletters, and general communications.

  • Support Section 8 and other affordable housing program tasks, including annual recertifications.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of property management experience preferred, especially in affordable housing.

    • Candidates with strong customer service backgrounds and transferable skills are encouraged to apply.

  • Knowledge of Section 8 and other affordable housing programs is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Experience with Yardi software is preferred.

  • Bilingual in Spanish required.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

  • Pay Range: $23–$25/hour, based on experience

  • Paid Time Off: 15 days annually
